Role Overview

This position is ideal for a consultant with expertise in rural, Aboriginal and One Health focused work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with local, state and federal government agencies regarding communicable disease and environmental health issues
  • Strategic planning and programme quality review for environmental health, immunisation and communicable diseases, with a focus on conditions notifiable under the NSW Public Health Act
  • Data quality and equity assurance in service provision, particularly for Aboriginal communities; follow-up of infectious diseases outbreaks and outbreak investigations, including human biosecurity officer services
Requirements:
  • Fellowship of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine and specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Recent and comprehensive experience in Public Health Medicine
