About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist to join our community mental health team, working with older adults and their families. Our team provides comprehensive mental health services, including assessments, therapy, and care planning.

As a clinical psychologist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists. You will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy to individuals and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of older adults and their families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide psychotherapy to individuals and groups
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of team goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A doctoral degree in clinical psychology
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience working with older adults and their families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
