We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist to join our Service Integration Team at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing effective psychological services to individuals in custody.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, coordinate, and action the delivery of psychology services at the centre.
- Provide direct psychological services to individuals in custody.
- Work within the broader Service Integration Team to provide consultation and advice on psychological aspects of inmate behavior and management.
- Oversee the management of more complex offenders to comprehensively address risks and needs.
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and supervise staff, promoting best practices and high service standards.
- Lead research and evaluation projects aimed at improving psychology services and programs within the Department.
- Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Eligible to be an authorized supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and willingness to supervise provisional psychologists and students.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment and treatment, including mental health, cognitive impairment, and individuals who sexually offend.
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
- In addition to the above, applicants must hold a master's degree or higher in a relevant specialist area, such as clinical psychology, forensic psychology, counseling psychology, or neuropsychology.
