About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist/Specialist Psychologist to join our team in Community Corrections, Bathurst, Dubbo and Broken Hill. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychological assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services to offenders within community locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert consultation to staff within custodial and community locations regarding the management of offenders, as well as advice to statutory authorities.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for offenders with mental health issues, cognitive impairment, and behavior management needs.
  • Develop and implement criminogenic risk assessments, including risks related to sex and violent offending and associated interventions.
  • Prepare reports, advice, and consultations for stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with current provisional or full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
  • Post-graduate degree at the master's level or higher in a relevant specialist area, including clinical psychology, forensic psychology, counselling psychology, or neuropsychology.
