About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Small to Medium Enterprise Banking NSW/ACT team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in helping to acquire, grow and retain a quality portfolio of customers.

Your primary responsibility will be to partner with the Relationship Manager to support your portfolio in all aspects of customer service, compliance, processes, systems, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment processes.
  • Act in the best interest of the customer and apply a customer-centric approach.
  • Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs.
  • Provide solutions towards account maintenance and simple customer requests.
  • Support the Relationship Manager with management of a portfolio of SME customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customers' needs.
  • Engage specialist teams when required.

  • Fulfilment: The end-to-end execution of a process, or part thereof, to achieve a customer or end user outcome.
  • Data Interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
