We are seeking a talented and ambitious Renewable Energy Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our origination and early-stage development team, you will play a crucial role in identifying, screening, and progressing renewable energy projects from site identification through to feasibility studies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Origination to progress projects from site identification to feasibility studies.
- Support the technical team in developing layouts throughout the development process.
- Negotiate landowner agreements and support legal dealings as required.
- Manage external consultants to undertake studies throughout the development process.
- Consult with local and state planning authorities, other regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
- Produce environmental impact statements and referrals for statutory applications.
- Provide on-ground support for project needs across environmental approvals, stakeholders, and land access functions.
- Collaborate with the technical team to support electrical grid connection processes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project development, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Tertiary qualification in Renewable Energy, Planning, Environment, Geography, Business, Law, Engineering, or Science-related disciplines.
- Current driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication and written skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS/graphical software.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
