Job Description

The Environmental Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that infrastructure projects adhere to environmental permits and regulations, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role involves providing strategic support and expert advice to the project team during project and construction planning phases, onsite auditing and monitoring of contractor compliance during construction of schemes, and collaborating closely with project managers and construction teams to identify and address environmental risks.

  • Provide input into the development of Construction Environmental Management Plans.
  • Conduct regular environmental audits and compliance inspections at construction sites.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State environmental approvals, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers and construction teams to identify and address environmental risks.
  • Provide guidance and support on environmental best practices during construction planning and delivery phase.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and contractors to ensure compliance with environmental permits and approvals.
  • Review and approve contractor environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and studies.
  • Conduct environmental incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Provide environmental training and awareness programs for construction teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship and sustainability.
