Project Supply Quality Supervisor

About the Job

This role provides project supplier quality supervision and expediting support to the Project Procurement Manager and Regional Supplier Quality Manager. The successful candidate will participate in project and shop quality surveillance in accordance with Bechtel Supplier Quality and Expediting Inc. (BSQE) procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and administer Quality Surveillance Assignments (QSAs) for source surveillance, surveys, and audits as required for projects.
  • Coordinate with SQ Regional Managers and Supervisors for the allocation of resources for intended QSA's.
  • Coordinate Supplier Quality services with other project functions.
  • Review material requisitions including technical specifications with respect to quality requirements and participate with Engineering in determining the levels of surveillance required and establishing witness and hold points.
  • Assist in the development of the final bid list and the selection of a recommended bidder.
  • Assist with the establishment of Quality Surveillance levels required for each purchase.
  • Participate in pre-award and post-award meetings/conferences with suppliers to review Area Supplier Quality's right of access, release for shipment authority, and notification on witness and hold points during quality surveillance activities.
  • Prepare quality surveillance and capability survey assignments for execution by the assigned Area Supplier Quality Specialists.
  • Investigate quality issues reported to the GBU Supplier Quality Manager on equipment/materials where quality surveillance has been performed.
  • Review, edit, accept, and distribute reports in accordance with this Manual and Project Procedures.
  • Provide direction and supervision to Project Supplier Quality Representatives.
