Job Title: Supply Chain Assurance Specialist

The position is based at The Star Brisbane, a new entertainment hub located in the heart of Queen's Wharf precinct.

The venue offers a variety of dining, bar and unique entertainment options along with a five-star hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought excitement to Brisbane and will redefine how people play, shop and socialise in the river city.

As a Quality and Supplier Engagement Lead, you will oversee the seamless flow of food and beverage products through the Loading Dock.

You will ensure all items meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Loading Dock adheres to housekeeping procedures.
  • Monitor short dates and report any product issues on the Loading Dock.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse & Logistics Manager to train Loading Dock staff on Quality processes and procedures.
  • Attend supplier engagement meetings to discuss daily operations and maintain proactive communication and solutions.
  • Review and monitor food and beverage goods received, including expiry dates, weight, quality and packaging integrity.
  • Liaise with suppliers to conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Work closely with outlet Chefs to ensure timely receipt and storage of orders each day.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Food & Beverage production environment.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable.
  • Understanding of laws relating to liquor, responsible service of alcohol, industrial relations and WHS.
