Ventia is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the delivery of a newly expanded scope under its existing contract with NBN Co, driving critical infrastructure upgrades across the Australian Capital Territory.

You'll be responsible for recruiting and leading a high-performing team, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project delivery meets client expectations and regulatory standards. This role can be based in Canberra or Sydney.

About You

  • Experienced in project management working in infrastructure services.
  • Telecommunications experience highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations is preferred.
  • Bring strong leadership and communication skills, strategic problem-solving ability, and a solid grasp of commercial, financial, safety, and quality management to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the NBN contract in the Australian Capital Territory, including team recruitment, program execution, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure contractual compliance, manage risks and opportunities, and drive project profitability through accurate forecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, conduct regular audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team aligned with Ventia's values, fostering a collaborative and client-focused culture.
  • Implement quality control measures and promote innovation to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
