Job Description

As the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for leading a peak advocacy body dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to millions of Australians.

With a strong focus on mission-driven impact, strategic influence, and collaborative engagement, you will champion a sector committed to ethical care and social justice.

The role requires proven executive leadership in complex, values-driven organisations, with strong political acumen and experience engaging with government and diverse stakeholders.

You will lead a dedicated team, oversee operational management, and foster strong relationships with member CEOs, government officials, and community leaders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the strategic direction and overseeing operational management.
  • Providing direction to and supporting the development of our people.
  • Acting as spokesperson for the sector in public, political, and media engagements.
  • Fostering strong relationships and collaboration with member CEOs, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Championing policies that enhance access to care, member sustainability, and member issues, with a focus on marginalised communities.

Additionally, you will drive organisational change and cultivate a culture of excellence, inclusion, and ethical practice.
