
Site Maintenance Specialist

Seeking an experienced and motivated individual to service, clean and maintain the site amenities on a construction site in Newcastle.
This is an immediate start. Key responsibilities include cleaning the builders site office, lunch rooms, bathrooms, change rooms, and all other associated amenities.
You will ensure that all workers on site occupy a safe, clean, and healthy environment each day.
The ideal candidate will be friendly and professional, reliable and punctual, take pride in their work with an eye for detail, and have previous cleaning experience (preferably in a similar role in construction cleaning or in commercial/office cleaning).
The following tasks are included:
- General cleaning across all amenities; such as cleaning & disinfecting, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, glass/window cleaning etc.
- Disinfecting all bathrooms, urinals & sinks
- Cleaning and maintaining lunch rooms & kitchen areas plus electrical appliances
- Rubbish disposal to designated areas
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, chemicals, and equipment
- Replenishing all dispensable items such as hand towels, toilet rolls, soap/dispenser
- Ensuring all areas occupied are clean and tidy to the highest standard
- Completing specified tasks daily & conducting quality checks of all areas
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment is clean, maintained & securely stored
- Working independently in a safe and professional manner
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and WH&S policies
- Adherence to construction site protocols and safety requirements
A must-have requirement for this position includes:
- Possessing a construction White Card
- Having full working rights in Australia
- Previous experience in a similar role essential (either construction cleaning or commercial/office cleaning)
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety (WH&S) practices (training will be provided)
- Delivering consistent high-quality cleaning & attention to detail
- Displaying a professional manner with good communication skills
- Exhibiting a positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Being committed, punctual, and reliable
- Striving to always provide outstanding service
