Traffic Engineering Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Traffic Engineer to lead our traffic safety engineering efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting safe driving practices and enhancing traffic safety services within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will serve as a technical lead for various traffic safety engineering work tasks.
  • Interface with government authorities to address traffic and transportation safety improvements in Eastern Province.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external entities to improve traffic mobility and safety.
  • Support proponents in developing project scopes, proposals, and schematics for roads and traffic safety improvements.
  • Review and provide initial inputs on design specifications of roadway schemes using industry standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in initiatives to develop traffic safety improvements based on international best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Investigate traffic accidents involving employees and contractors within company premises.
  • Program, coordinate, and prioritize technical tasks activities and assign them to resources.
  • Enhance internal technical capacity by establishing proper training and efficient knowledge sharing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized program.
  • Advanced degree with emphasis on Transportation and Traffic Engineering preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Studies, including at least 10 years in Traffic Safety-related projects.
  • Technical proficiency in road design, transport planning, and traffic safety studies.
  • Familiarity with local and international standards and guidelines.
  • Professional certification and licenses required.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and site assessment.
  • Proficiency in using transportation/traffic analysis and simulation software.
  • Project management and resource planning knowledge required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
