Key Responsibilities

  • Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing much-needed breaks and relaxation.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and care teams, fostering strong relationships.
  • Prioritize health and safety regulations, safeguarding the well-being of clients.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry advancements.
Requirements
  • A minimum of high school education or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to pursue completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid work with people with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends, accommodating diverse schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS and its guidelines, ensuring compliance and excellence.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, considering different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills, equipped to handle emergencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
