About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting.

You will contribute to literature searches, screening, and the preparation of academic reviews, including scoping and systematic reviews. Additionally, you will engage with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, supporting the recruitment and engagement of CALD community members for research studies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting.
  • Contributing to literature searches, screening, and the preparation of academic reviews, including scoping and systematic reviews.
  • Engaging with CALD communities, supporting the recruitment and engagement of CALD community members for research studies.
  • Coordinating workshops and forums, organising and facilitating co-design workshops, surveys, interviews, and stakeholder forums to gather insights and feedback.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in health sciences, with evidence of further study relevant to the field.
  • Cultural knowledge and community engagement: Strong knowledge of, and connections to, sub-Saharan African communities.
  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. We may consider candidates who are fluent in Swahili.
  • Research experience: Demonstrated experience in research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting.
  • Research communication: Strong writing and communication skills, with experience contributing to scientific reports, publications, or conference presentations.
