We are seeking a highly skilled news professional to join our team. The successful candidate will work independently during shifts, collaborating closely with the news chief of staff, station manager, content producers, and presenters to ensure on-air news content is current, accurate, and consistent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interviewing, researching, writing, editing, and presenting on-air news bulletins that are recurrent, accurate, and aligned with brand style and broadcast codes of conduct
- Working in a fast-paced environment, writing and presenting live local news, sport, and weather twice an hour
- Ensuring accuracy and excellent attention to detail in all aspects of the role
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing
