Director of Growth and Engagement


About the Opportunity:

This role presents a unique chance to lead our business growth function, driving innovation and expansion across multiple channels.

The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking and commercial acumen, able to shape and drive business success through effective marketing, admissions, and talent acquisition strategies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the brand story and its implementation across all channels - from digital campaigns to in-person experiences.
  • Leadership and inspiration of content and creative direction across our website, social media, and other platforms.
  • Management of PPC and SEO channels, driving high-quality parent and talent enquiries through data-led performance marketing.
  • Nurturing of our PR strategy and media relationships to boost visibility in the early years and education space.
  • Collaboration with an external agency to evolve our brand into a recognised premium entity.
  • Driving national and local event presence, building community and reputation through curated experiences.
  • Championing award submissions to highlight team successes and elevate our position in the sector.
  • Leadership on external parent communications and surveys, using insights to strengthen loyalty, experience, and advocacy.
  • Taking ownership of the parent enquiry journey, leading a dedicated team who manage all inbound enquiries via our CRM.
  • Continuous review and optimisation of the admissions process, ensuring it's seamless, warm, and reflective of our premium brand.
  • Use of CRM metrics to identify trends, spot opportunities, and refine team performance.
  • Development and implementation of new templates, processes, and communications to improve speed, clarity, and experience.
  • Collaboration with the marketing team and leadership teams on local campaigns to improve lead quality and conversion at site level.
  • Championing the parent experience at every stage, using insight, feedback, and innovation to exceed expectations and build trust.
  • Leadership of our in-house talent team, who manage recruitment across our sites.
  • Development and driving of a proactive recruitment strategy that supports current needs and future growth.
  • Owning and elevating our employer brand on platforms such as LinkedIn and Glassdoor.

Requirements:
  • Proven senior leadership experience across marketing, admissions, and/or recruitment.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen to shape and drive business success.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding experiences for prospective parents or future team members.
  • Creative yet data-driven mindset, comfortable managing campaign performance and driving digital visibility.
  • Strong track record in developing and leading teams, with the ability to coach, support, and drive performance through others.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, collaborative, clear, and comfortable influencing at all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing organisation.
