We are currently seeking an Electrical Power Systems Leader to join our Energy Team in Sydney. This role will work with the broader enterprise to service clients and deliver projects in the power sector across the full project lifecycle.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects.
  • Undertaking concept design and preparing documentation for power generation and renewable energy projects.
  • Leading and overseeing the work of project teams to achieve project milestones and objectives; includes allocating tasks, ensuring compliance, setting priorities, reprioritizing as required, and coordinating and supervising the daily activities of project teams.
  • Contributing to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in power generation engineering including planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and demolition.
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Leveraging background/contacts to developing business and contributing to winning work.
  • Development of tender responses to sell GHD's services.

The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent acceptable to Engineers Australia) and CPEng and RPEQ are desirable. A minimum of 10 years' experience in power generation projects is required, with a strong understanding of current power generation technologies, including methods of installation, operation, and configuration. Experience with relevant software packages such as HOMER, PVSyst, WindPRO, Thermoflow is also essential.

The salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
