About our Centre

We are passionate about educating our children to know the importance and benefits of healthy choices and nutritious meals. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all children, ensuring they have access to high-quality education and care.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Cook to join our team, enabling you to play an active part in creating healthy menus that cater to individual child requirements including allergies and specific dietary needs. You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, ideas and tips.

About You

  • You will be an efficient and capable cook with experience in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
  • You will be strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • You will be able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs.

Requirements

  • You must hold a current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience in an early childhood setting is essential.
  • You must have reliable transport to and from our centre.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
