Experience is growing rapidly as a leader in identity engineering, with a strong focus on innovation and collaboration. As a Senior Identity Engineer at Canva, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our company's security and application architecture.

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the assessment and integration of third-party SaaS applications into our existing identity management framework. This includes defining and enforcing identity architecture best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless identity federation and provisioning across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) Integrations: Using Okta, integrate a wide range of enterprise applications (SAML, OIDC, OAuth). Ensure secure and efficient authentication experiences for users.
  • Build and Maintain System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM): Automate user identity provisioning and deprovisioning using SCIM integrations. Maintain system integrity and prevent data breaches.
  • Collaborate with Security and Application Teams: Define and enforce identity architecture best practices. Drive technical excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Assess and Integrate Third-party SaaS Applications: Lead the assessment and integration process for new applications. Ensure seamless integration with our existing identity management framework.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Resolve complex authentication, authorization, and provisioning issues promptly and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), specifically with Okta.
  • Expertise in SSO protocols like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Hands-on experience with SCIM and API-based integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Workato.
