The role of Financial Director offers an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership position within a small manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Lead the finance team and collaborate with the production team in managing inventory and WIP.
  • Preparation and submission of statutory reports as mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Preparation and compilation of budgets, proforma analysis, and interim results reporting.
  • Treasury management
  • Administration of office management tasks
  • Reporting directly to the Group CFO and local Managing Director

Requirements:

  • A strong combination of analytical and hands-on skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with consolidation and financial statement preparation
  • 5+ years track record of successfully implementing and running the entire scope of accounting operations in a small business, reporting to executive management
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards (desired)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering timely, accurate financial information
  • Must be a certified accountant
  • 5+ years of experience in product-oriented businesses with international operations, including inventory and supplier management
  • Experience in obtaining and administering government R&D grants and tax credits
  • 5+ years of experience with cost-centre accounting for operational management
  • 3+ years in a publicly listed company or a company subject to external audits

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with cloud-based project/time tracking systems would be beneficial
  • Fluency in Mandarin and written Chinese would be an asset
