Maintenance Fitter Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team in a permanent full-time position at our Wetherill Park site.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Leading Hand in planning and executing shutdown, breakdown, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities across the site. This includes performing routine maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems, and conducting risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Boilermaker ticket, mechanical trade certificates (minimum of III or IV), and experience in fabrication/machining of parts, pipework, and overhauling rotating equipment. Proficiency in manual machining and experience with static equipment, such as process, storage, and pressure vessels, are also essential. In addition, the candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
