Workforce Optimisation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to support our dynamic operations team in optimising workforce planning.

  • Partner with operations leadership to align workforce planning with business strategy and site needs, ensuring seamless service delivery across various stakeholders.
  • Spearhead workforce planning initiatives, focusing on forecasting, scheduling, rostering, mobilisation, and real-time optimisation to drive efficiency and labour cost control.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (HR, IT, Finance, HSE, Supply Chain) to develop tailored workforce optimisation strategies for each village or location.
  • Utilise workforce management systems to streamline planning processes, analyse performance, and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives based on operational data and trend analysis, driving positive change within the organisation.
  • Maintain compliance with enterprise agreements and rostering conditions, and ensure accurate qualification and induction records.
  • Support labour modelling and 'what-if' analysis to inform operational and financial planning decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or Law.
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce/resource planning, rostering, or logistics within hospitality or village accommodation environments.
  • Strong understanding of workforce operating models and planning methodologies, with a focus on process analysis and implementation.
  • Solid experience in JD Edwards comprehensive ERP solution, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  • Proven ability to optimise complex operations while balancing client needs and internal resource constraints.
  • Solid working knowledge in process mining activities to implement and embed industry best practice.
  • Solid grasp of business operations and best practice frameworks for workforce management.
  • Demonstrated experience reporting on workforce planning Key Performance Indicators.

Key Requirements:

  • Analytical thinker with advanced MS Office suite skills including Excel.
  • JDE (JD Edwards) enterprise resource planning software suite (Oracle).
  • Kronos Time and Attendance platform with integrated workforce management tools.
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver.
  • Highly organised and capable of prioritising in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in the use of digital systems and programs for analysis, reporting, and management.
