A high-calibre technical expert is being sought to spearhead the development of scalable digital products. This role presents a great opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in Java and Spring Boot to contribute meaningfully to real-world projects, whilst continuing to develop their technical capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop, test, and maintain secure back-end services utilising Java and Spring Boot
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, delivery managers, and QA engineers to implement full-stack solutions
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and pair programming sessions
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with industry best practices
  • Contribute to system design conversations and propose improvements to architecture and workflows
  • Debug and resolve issues in production and development environments
  • Ensure the high performance and responsiveness of applications

About the Ideal Candidate

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in back-end development with Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools like Hibernate
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Basic knowledge of containerisation and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Grafana)
  • Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
  • Awareness of performance and security best practices in back-end development
