We are seeking an analytical Retail Operations Specialist to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of store operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse Store-level, Regional, State KPIs: sales per labour hour, transactions per team member, units per transaction, foot traffic conversion, and shrink
  • Develop and manage dashboards to monitor key retail metrics, including productivity, wages as a % of sales, and schedule efficiency
  • Partner with store leadership and Regional/State Managers to identify labour efficiency gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Evaluate the ROI of operational changes, promotions, and labour models by reviewing their impact on sales and profitability
Labor & Wage Analysis:
  • Monitor weekly labour scheduling data to ensure optimal staffing aligned with trading patterns and budget targets
  • Analyse actual vs. planned labour hours and wage costs to drive productivity and compliance
  • Support wage forecasting, labour budgeting, and productivity benchmarking by store and region
  • Recommend improvements in labour planning tools and time-tracking processes to reduce overspend or understaffing risks
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Finance, HR, Store Ops, and IT teams to ensure accurate data flows between systems (e.g., POS, TRS)
  • Contribute to projects such as new store setup, operational process reviews, and in-store tech rollouts
  • Assist in training and supporting Regional/State leaders on reporting tools and interpreting operational metrics

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Analytics, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a retail operation, business analysis, or workforce management role.
  • Strong knowledge of labour metrics, wage modelling, and productivity reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience with workforce management systems (e.g., Pronto, Deputy) and retail POS systems.
  • Solid understanding of store-level operations in a high-SKU, homewares or consumer goods environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
