About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT) in a community-based comprehensive assessment service. As a member of this multidisciplinary team, you will provide mental health assessment and treatment to individuals requiring urgent, short-term or ongoing intensive community-based mental health assessment, treatment and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face holistic assessments in community clinics and in consumers' homes
  • Provide early discharge management and Mental Health Telephone Triage
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes for consumers
  • Communicate effectively with consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds
Requirements
  • Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration and qualifications
  • Proven ability in supporting consumers with significant mental illness and in assessment, crisis intervention, counselling, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery-oriented practice
  • Extensive and recent experience in mental health, including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for consumers
