Operations Manager Opportunity in North Sydney


A leading organisation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join their team in North Sydney. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning and directing the daily operations of the service centre to achieve sales targets, on-time delivery, and profit goals.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct daily operations to achieve sales targets, on-time delivery, and profit goals.
  • Liaise with management, staff, customers, suppliers, and national office.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS and environment policies and procedures.
  • Assist with counter service.
  • Monitor and direct the daily operation of the hose service centre.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and customers.
  • Implement, monitor, and review training and development plans.
  • Act to improve safety performance of all staff.

You:
Requirements:
  • Occupational regulatory licenses.
  • Trade certificate.
  • Ability to build a high-performing team who can operate efficiently, effectively, productively, and cost-effectively.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer-focused work environment.
  • Personal organisation and business administration skills.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight deadlines and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Anticipate problems and find solutions.
  • Delegation ability.
  • Maintain quality standards and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with equipment used in industry.
  • Computer literacy and good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good presentation and grooming.
  • Working understanding of procurement and stock management systems.
  • Ability to meet, greet, and talk with customers and potential clients.
