About the Role

Avant Mutual is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Governance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing our information security governance framework.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian financial regulations, including APRA requirements, and experience in identifying and managing security risks across multiple business functions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the information security governance framework, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
  • Supporting alignment of information security objectives with broader business goals and strategies.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize information security risks.

As a Senior Information Security Governance Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and connected team, and contribute to the development of our cybersecurity program.

Key skills and competencies required for this role include:

  • Regulatory knowledge: Deep understanding of Australian financial regulations, including APRA requirements.
  • Risk management: Experience in identifying and managing security risks across multiple business functions.
  • Technical understanding: Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity technologies.
