Electrical Engineer for Data Center Remediation

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. As a Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design projects in operational data centers, remedying issues, upgrading existing infrastructure, or adding new services.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions that add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.
- Prepare/review short circuit coordination studies and maintain the software models to match as-built site conditions.
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.
- Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects.
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities.
- Experience with the design consultant or operation/maintenance or resident design engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
