About the Role

In this position, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality physiotherapy services that optimise resident well-being, mobility, pain management, and recovery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-level physiotherapy diagnostic and treatment skills tailored to residents' needs and preferences
  • Contributing positively to multi-disciplinary care planning to ensure comprehensive support for our residents
  • Engaging in face-to-face handovers with nursing staff to enhance communication about resident needs and therapy
  • Collaborating on case conferencing and problem-solving complex care needs
  • Supporting proactive reablement pathways and identifying deviations early on
  • Mentoring students on placements and participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your capacity to optimise resident outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy, including current registration with AHPRA
  • Knowledge of residential aged care practice, including understanding and experience of AN-ACC
  • Experience working from a Healthy Ageing approach
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting internal and external client needs
  • Strong initiative and organisational/time management skills
  • Ability to adapt communication to audience and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite and in-house databases
  • Familiarity with Aged Care Standards relevant to the role
  • Capacity to apply for a provider number and understanding of the aged care system
