Job Description

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a skilled Allied Health Assistant to join their team in Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care at Flinders Medical Centre.

About the Role

This part-time position (30 hours per week) offers a competitive salary of $58,709.00 - $63,154.00 (Pro Rata) AHA2.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the Home Rehabilitation Team, assisting with tasks such as installing prescribed equipment, self-care tasks, and carrying out specified components of rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specific therapeutic interventions under direction of AHP staff
  • Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP
  • Accurately maintaining documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP
  • Accurately maintaining therapy-related databases
  • Assisting patients and carers to use telehealth equipment

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated aptitude for work in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and/or handling of patient-related equipment and devices
  • Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
