In this critical role, you will play a key part in the sterilising process by reprocessing reusable medical devices, including decontamination and inspection, for various clinical departments.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the perioperative team to meet their needs and ensure timely equipment processing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential in maintaining effective working relationships with theatre and central sterile supply department staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reprocess reusable medical devices, including decontamination and inspection, for various clinical departments;
  • Work collaboratively with the perioperative team to meet their needs and ensure timely equipment processing;
  • Maintain effective working relationships with theatre and central sterile supply department staff;
  • Ensure consistency and continuous workflow between operating theatre areas and central sterile supply department (CSSD);
  • Assist in processing instruments, trays, and equipment to ensure high operational standards.
