CSSD Team Member

CSSD Sterilisation Assistants are integral to ensuring the sterilising process meets the needs of our perioperative team.
This role involves reprocessing reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, assembly and inspection.
You will work collaboratively with your team to meet the needs of the perioperative team, reporting to the Peri Op Manager and working within an efficient and professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process instruments, trays and equipment in a timely manner.
- Operate in various allocated areas in the department.
- Maintain consistency and continuous workflow between Operating Theatre areas and CSSD while providing exceptional customer service and adhering to high operational standards.
- Assist in day-to-day coordination of CSSD activities.
- Comply with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
- Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
- Collaborate with Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.
- Possess a positive outlook to collaborate effectively with the team and work independently as required.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in internal and external settings.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Display strong organisational skills.
- Have strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023.
