The Role

Cybersecurity and investigations are integral to maintaining trust and confidence in Defence. As an Investigative Assistant, you will provide critical support to investigations into allegations of serious misconduct and fraud related offences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess reports of fraud or misconduct and categorise the jurisdiction, complexity and seriousness of allegations.
  • Develop high-quality reports into allegations of fraud and corruption related offences.
  • Support investigators in criminal and administrative investigations.
  • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and Defence Investigative Authorities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.

About our Team

The Directorate of Investigations in the Fraud Investigations and Public Interest Disclosure Branch delivers Defence's fraud investigations capability. The Directorate works closely with other Defence Investigative Authorities to support the organisation's response to integrity risks.
