**Key Responsibilities**

As a Submarine Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Navy's subsurface communication and IT systems, ensuring the secure transmission of information and uninterrupted lines of communication. Your duties will include communicating through radio and satellite links, handling classified and sensitive information, operating and coordinating telecommunication and IT systems, and providing specialist communications advice to Command.

**Your Day-to-Day**

Your day could include handling sensitive material, operating IT and network systems, encoding and decoding classified information, or providing communications advice to your team. You will also be responsible for network administration, security, system diagnosis and recovery, and search and rescue operations.
