Mining Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Mining Engineering professional to lead our team and drive strategic initiatives in the Hunter Valley.

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for a mining engineering manager with a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams, developing and implementing mine plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in underground longwall mining, operational management, and supervisory roles. They will be responsible for cultivating positive relationships within site teams, engaging with statutory regulators and industry safety representatives, and contributing to strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced team to optimize production, develop effective standards for statutory inspections, communication, and reporting, and ensure detailed planning and scheduling to meet business objectives.

Key Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in mining engineering, with at least 3 years in underground longwall mining.
  • 5+ years in operational management and supervisory roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or related discipline (desirable).
  • Valid NSW explosive security clearance (formerly UHL) (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
