Job Opportunity: External Reporting Manager

Your role involves coordinating the external reporting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. This includes reviewing new accounting standards, researching regulatory changes, and preparing quarterly and annual reports.

This position requires a high level of organizational skill to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead a team to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the external reporting team to meet objectives
  • Provide technical support on accounting standards and regulatory changes
  • Review and approve team tasks, including journal entries and financial statements
  • Prepare quarterly enterprise risk reports and board papers
  • Deliver board documents to the company secretary
  • Oversee investment accounting and cash transfers
  • Coordinate IFRS17 reporting with local and central teams
  • Support the external audit process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years work experience in accounting within an insurance environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team
  • Holds a CA or CPA qualification
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
