Rex Airlines operates a fleet of Saab 340 aircraft to various regional destinations.

Flight attendants play a crucial role in ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a high level of personal presentation.

A key requirement is to hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device.

In addition to these qualifications, applicants must also have experience in customer service and be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

The successful candidate will undergo extensive training, flying experience is not required, and will be expected to work on weekends, public holidays, shift work, and some nights spent away from home.

To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Not exceed 173 cm in height
  • Demonstrate one of the following:
    • Completed secondary education in Australia or New Zealand
    • Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years
    • Worked in the UK, Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years
    • Hold an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5
  • Hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Have experience in customer service
  • Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device
  • Be flexible; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
  • Have a high level of personal presentation
  • Have a natural willingness to please and care for people
