About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Major Incident Manager to join our team at Bega Cheese. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the response to major IT incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an effective incident management process, including identification, logging, categorization, prioritization, investigation, and resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major incident-related communication, providing timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes, contributing factors, areas for improvement, and permanent corrective actions.
  • Proactively identify possible problems before incidents occur and lead post-incident review meetings following major incidents.
  • Drive efforts to improve incident management processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Experience and certification in ITIL.
  • Qualification in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing/logistics or another complex organizational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., ITIL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.
