About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a seasoned procurement professional to lead our purchasing team and oversee the full procurement lifecycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring our supplier partnerships, inventory management, and procurement processes are cost-effective, reliable, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

As Procurement and Supply Chain Leader, you will provide leadership across supplier selection, contract negotiations, vendor analysis, and process optimization, ensuring procurement excellence that directly supports our operational and business goals.

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement function, including supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Authorise supply contracts, corrective actions, and supplier engagement strategies in line with company standards.
  • Oversee tender preparation, proposals, contract execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Drive vendor analysis and cost reduction initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage ingredient sourcing for the manufacturing process, ensuring accuracy in pricing, stock levels, and timeframes.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms for raw material usage and procurement metrics.
  • Conduct technical and process analysis to identify improvements, advising senior management on strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative procurement tools and systems.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Purchasing team, ensuring alignment with our values and performance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic procurement leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a commercial mindset to supplier and cost management. You should be an excellent communicator, confident in leading a team, and proficient in data-driven decision making.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably within FMCG or multi-site manufacturing.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in projecting commodity usage and financial outcomes through strong data and analytical skills.
  • Strong business, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to influence and manage change.
  • Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
