About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our purchasing team, overseeing the full procurement lifecycle. You will be responsible for supplier partnerships, inventory management, and procurement processes that are cost-effective, reliable, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

You will have a key role in:

  • Leading end-to-end procurement, including supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Authorizing supply contracts, corrective actions, and supplier engagement strategies in line with company standards.
  • Overseeing tender preparation, proposals, contract execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Driving vendor analysis and cost reduction initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
  • Managing ingredient sourcing for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy in pricing, stock levels, and timeframes.
  • Implementing reporting mechanisms for raw material usage and procurement metrics.
  • Conducting technical and process analysis to identify improvements, advising senior management on strategies.
  • Developing and implementing innovative procurement tools and systems.
  • Providing leadership and coaching to the Purchasing team, ensuring alignment with company values and performance standards.
Your Background

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably within FMCG or multi-site manufacturing.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in projecting commodity usage and financial outcomes through strong data and analytical skills.
  • Strong business, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to influence and manage change.
  • Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
