This 6-month opportunity will see you provide exceptional commercial leadership to achieve and improve strategic financial outcomes.

Day-to-day, you will apply a commercial lens, lead the Finance Business Partnering and Financial Planning and Analysis teams to uplift and strengthen our commercial approach.

Key to your success will be your commercial mindset and ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercially focused leadership in the Finance Business Partnering and Financial Planning and Analysis teams ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Deliver a Total Expenditure view of Investment spend to understand the impact on the Enterprise.
  • Build financial capability and acumen championing initiatives that uplift financial literacy across the business.
  • Identify and manage risks and benefits associated with implementing business strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate across the business to support and influence commercial decisions with consideration of strategic, fiscal and compliance impacts.
  • Design and continuously improve a centralised planning framework covering budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Develop a framework for financial governance of business cases across Finance and other functions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive financial management experience within a complex corporate environment or commercial aspects of running a government business enterprise or private sector utility.
  • Experience in delivering long lead financial plans and strategic plans.
  • Experience with corporate finance modelling, board papers and developing frameworks.
  • People management experience within managing financial business partnering teams.
  • Extensive experience in developing commercial capability and providing analysis and insights to business partners.
  • Outstanding communication expertise and exceptional influencing and leadership skills to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Tertiary qualification and CPA/CA are essential.
