Process Optimisation Specialist

We're seeking a seasoned Process Optimisation Specialist to drive business growth through process improvement, engineering support, and collaboration across plant operations. As a key member of our team in Somerton, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Operations to optimise plant performance, embed best practices, and deliver solutions.

About the Opportunity

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager, working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement, enhance reliability, and contribute to capital projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively engaging in programmes and initiatives.
  • Support problem-solving, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and implement best practice processes and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Facilitate and perform maintenance analysis (RCA, FMEA) to drive reliability improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and plant optimisation projects.
  • Assist in preparing business cases and justifications for capital initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles with practical application.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration across stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in maintenance, operations, or process improvement is desirable.
