Job Title: Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician

About the Role

The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused care to consumers and their families. This involves assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, advocacy, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, safe, and connected care in a person-centred and holistic manner that promotes self-determination.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills for engaging with consumers, families, and carers.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and Microsoft Office programs for efficient care coordination.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mental health strategic directions, including those related to Aboriginal people and their communities.
Requirements
  • Must be of Aboriginal descent with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultures and established links with the local community.
  • Tertiary qualification in Bachelor Health Science (Mental Health) or relevant registration with AHPRA or membership eligibility.
  • Current driver's license and ability to travel as required.
