Job Summary:

This is a temporary full-time opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse or Midwife Specialist to provide senior clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a healthcare unit, team or department.

The incumbent will utilise advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision-making whilst working closely with managers and other senior clinicians to deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred healthcare in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Providing effective nursing or midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing healthcare services">
  • Working knowledge of referral pathways and services related to discharge planning and ongoing care">

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife Division 1 with the relevant authorities">
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification">
