About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in our Perioperative department, you will be responsible for facilitating surgeons within the theatre setting, collaborating with the theatre team, and ensuring excellent patient-centered care. Your expertise will be essential in preparing patients for surgery, achieving optimal outcomes, and demonstrating exceptional clinical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate surgical procedures by supporting and collaborating with the theatre team.
- Prepare operating theatres and patients for surgery, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
- Achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
- Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital perioperative setting.
- At least 2 years' recent Scrub/Scout experience.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded, although not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to promote Mater values.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mater offers a comprehensive compensation package, including:
- Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour (Registered Nurse Level 1), plus superannuation.
