About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Perioperative department, you will be responsible for facilitating surgeons within the theatre setting, collaborating with the theatre team, and ensuring excellent patient-centered care. Your expertise will be essential in preparing patients for surgery, achieving optimal outcomes, and demonstrating exceptional clinical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate surgical procedures by supporting and collaborating with the theatre team.
  • Prepare operating theatres and patients for surgery, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
  • Achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital perioperative setting.
  • At least 2 years' recent Scrub/Scout experience.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded, although not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to promote Mater values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
