Salary and Benefits

A highly competitive remuneration package valued up to $536,916 per annum comprises:

  • Salary range of $210,332 to $266,677 per annum (L18 – L27)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
  • Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,000 per annum
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 per annum
  • 3.6 weeks paid leave
Job Description

This Fixed Term Temporary full-time position offers an opportunity to lead a sophisticated psychiatric rehabilitation service consisting of a Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, two community residential facilities, and a Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care and non-clinical services to benefit consumers of the service.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Director will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the speciality, the ethics of the profession, and THHS and QH policies
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff members
  • Engaging in academic activities, including research, quality activities, and teaching health professionals
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications in Psychiatry recognised by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
  • Current registration with/or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Suitability to be an Authorised Psychiatrist under the Mental Health Act 2016
