Executive Director, Motor Accidents Insurance Governance

The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise seeking a Non-Executive Director to join the Board and contribute to its governance. As a Director, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the organisation, including organisational culture, business operations, strategic planning, financial management, regulatory compliance, and risk and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities- Exercise due care, diligence, and skill in relation to oversight of organisational culture, business operations, strategic planning, financial management, regulatory compliance, and risk and stakeholder management.
- Possess contemporary knowledge and experience of governance practices.
- Have a career background that includes experience with the valuation of long-term financial assets and liabilities, as well as a broad knowledge of financial markets, with particular emphasis on the investment markets.
We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of governance practices and a proven track record in the valuation of long-term financial assets and liabilities. A broad knowledge of financial markets, particularly in the investment markets, is highly desirable.
