Production Supervisor

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide a unique opportunity for individuals to gain valuable work experience and skills in a dynamic production environment.

Job Description
  • Supervise, direct, and train production staff to ensure efficient warehouse and truck operations.
  • Schedule employees to guarantee adequate coverage in all areas of the production department.
  • Maintain and keep in safe working order all equipment assigned to your area of responsibility.
  • Plan economically and schedule pickups, truck routes, and driver schedules to ensure donated items are brought to the center expeditiously and without damage.
  • Ensure store deliveries are completed and properly recorded on the manifest. Load, pack, and ship out merchandise efficiently.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and ensure trash is removed systematically.
  • Work with bale sales coordinators to schedule pick-ups, record, and supervise production and loading of bales.
  • Supervise sorting processes to ensure systems for hanging, tagging, pricing, shipping to stores, and seasonal storage are followed.
  • Expediting process: furniture must be properly cleaned, sanitized, tagged, placed on manifest, and shipped to thrift stores.
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports, employee time cards/time sheets, requests for time off, etc.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable DMV record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

This role supports the Work Therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision to beneficiaries.

Others

This position will oversee beneficiaries assigned to work therapy in the production department, plan Work Therapy Assignments, and participate in weekly/monthly production meetings as required.
