Chief Payroll Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist to support our Payroll Operations team. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll tax rates in Workday and compliance with government regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and update Workday Payroll Tax setup for each legal entity and jurisdiction, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll taxes at the employer and employee level, ensuring timely remittances and accurate reporting of withholding taxes.
- Reconcile quarterly and annual tax amounts withheld, reported, and deposited for assigned entities.
- Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities and maintain a strong delivery record.
- Support internal and external audit data requests, prepare materials for tax provisions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Oversee payroll payments and account reconciliations, ensuring timely payroll processing in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience required; 5+ years preferred
- Mandatory experience in payroll tax compliance in Workday
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in financial services a plus
